What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Profile Report from August 2023, written as part of Te Ara Huarau, ERO’s improvement evaluation approach.

ERO found that learners enjoy an engaging, positive and culturally responsive school climate, that the school has a strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and close connections with whānau Māori, hapū and iwi, and that staff share a collegial culture built on trust.

ERO and the school agreed to look at how well assessment gives clear, usable evidence to guide teaching. The school’s priorities are teaching practice that brings more equitable results, particularly for boys and Māori learners, assessment that helps teachers target their instruction, and continued moderation and collaboration so achievement improves for all learners.
