What ERO found
The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from October 2025. ERO found success and progress rising for all learners, with most students at or above expected curriculum levels in reading and maths and a large majority in writing, and maths results even across groups of students. It described very strong teaching, a broad curriculum, good support for students with complex needs, school planning that is driving strong performance, useful reporting to whānau and close attention to community feedback. Regular attendance is approaching the government target, though chronic absence is not yet falling.
ERO and the school agreed to put an attendance plan in place and lift regular attendance, embed a structured maths programme, extend structured literacy teaching across the school, and build teachers’ confidence with te reo Māori, te ao Māori and tikanga Māori in everyday learning.

Enrolling
Students who live in the home zone have the right to enrol. Out-of-zone places are offered under the school’s enrolment scheme, by ballot when there are more applicants than places. The school’s site has an online enrolment enquiry form, suggests enrolling well before a child’s fifth birthday and arranges classroom visits before a new entrant starts.
