Napier Walking Tracks

Exploring & walking throughout Napier

Napier’s walking options span the popular Marine Parade waterfront promenade, the heritage streets and lookout tracks of Bluff Hill / Napier Hill, the bush walks on Dolbel Reserve and the surrounding hillside reserves, plus the Ahuriri Estuary boardwalks and the western coastal walkways. All are flat-to-moderate, well-signposted, and within easy reach of the central city.

The wider Hawke’s Bay region adds substantial day-walk options — Te Mata Peak (Havelock North), the dramatic Cape Kidnappers coastal walk to the gannet colony, the Tukituki Valley tracks, and the deeper hill-country walks in the Kaweka Forest Park, Boundary Stream Mainland Island and the Maungaharuru ranges.
