What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a Te Ara Huarau School Profile Report from April 2024. This kind of report sets out what ERO and the school will evaluate together, here the effect of the school’s teaching and wellbeing initiatives on students’ progress, attendance and wellbeing, and how evidence is used in classrooms and in school decisions.

ERO pointed to collaborative staff focused on better outcomes for students, access to professional learning, an inclusive environment that works to meet the needs of students and their families, and good relationships with whānau and the wider community.

Next, the school plans targeted professional learning so teachers can analyse, moderate and use data more effectively, a review of its assessment schedule and evaluation processes, and more sharing of assessment information with students and whānau.
