What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a Te Ara Huarau School Profile Report from February 2024. This kind of report sets out what ERO and the school will evaluate together, here how well learning programmes and school practices support students as they start school and move between levels of a full primary school.

ERO pointed to experienced, collaborative leaders and teaching teams, sound assessment and monitoring that track progress and pick up learning needs, an inclusive setting for students with identified needs, and established systems for managing change.

Next, the school planned to have its teaching teams work together on consistent curriculum delivery, strengthen what happens at key transition points, and build internal evaluation to measure how well those transitions work.

Enrolling

Students who live in the home zone have the right to enrol. Out-of-zone places are offered under the school’s enrolment scheme, by ballot when there are more applicants than places.

The school’s enrolment page asks families to contact the office first, then emails an online link to the enrolment forms. It lists the documents needed: a birth certificate or passport, an immunisation certificate, any visas and proof of address.
