What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from April 2025. ERO found that success and progress are rising for all students, with high quality teaching lifting results: most students are at or above the expected level in reading and maths, and a large majority are in writing.

Reading results are equitable across groups and writing and maths are moving that way. Students have a strong sense of belonging and pride in their school, students with complex needs are well supported, and leaders have built strong trust and teamwork across the school community. Attendance is close to the government target and improving.

The agreed next steps are to embed structured literacy and maths teaching across the school, bring teaching and assessment into line with the new curriculum, and keep working to raise regular attendance. ERO also noted that the school has only partly improved progress for the students most at risk of not achieving since its previous review.

Enrolling

Students who live in the home zone have the right to enrol, and the school asks in-zone families to apply by its deadlines too so it can plan. Out-of-zone places are offered under the school’s enrolment scheme, by ballot when there are more applicants than places.

Enrolment forms are available from the school office. The school’s enrolment page sets out which year levels have out-of-zone places and lists the application deadlines and ballot dates for each term.
